The Sultans

Quest Details
Athens Adventurer Mediator: "You know the word "sultan" right? Basically a rank equal to a king in the Islamic world. Sultans have apparently existed since the 11th Century, but their role in society has changed over the years, and there's a request to find out how they differ from European kings. You can probably find some information in Beirut."

In-depth Details
Part 1: Head to Beirut and talk with Traveling Scholar. (He's on the opposite side of the Town Official to the right of the map)
Part 2: Talk with City Official (Town Official)
Part 3: Head to the Mosque in Beirut. Use observe to find the exact location and search. It's just past the left column by the back wall.
Part 4: Turn in to Athens Adventurer Mediator or Barmaid

Part 1 -
Beirut Traveling Scholar: "You're doing research on sultans? Well, the word itself means "authority". Originally it was not the title of a ruler but a was a religious status. They are different from European kings because they must be accepted by the Caliph. I'm sure the people in Beirut could tell you plenty more about them."

Part 2 -
Beirut City Official: "Historical research, eh? Impressive. The term sultan was a title handed down by the Caliph, the supreme ruler of the land and refers to the person in charge of politics. However, through the ability to rule over the politics of the land the sultans also gained great power this way. The mosque here in town has many old heirlooms from previous sultans you could take a look at if you're interested."

Progress: Islamic dynasties have a delegate elected by a religious leader that is in charge of politics called a sultan. Supposedly Beirut's mosque has some artefacts left from past sultans. I should go check them out. I'm sure it's somewhere inside. I should use the "Search" command on the left side in the back of the church to see if I can find them.
